I can’t thank Mr Pushpananthan enough for everything he did for me. I went to 4 neurosurgeons (private and NHS) who said nothing could be done for me. In fact, another neurosurgeon advised that I see Mr Pushpananthan as he’s the top guy in London for this highly specialist tumour surgery. I saw one of Mr Pushpananthan’s team in the clinic – unfortunately he wasn’t able to meet me the first time. But he got his team of neurosurgeons to do new tests and scans. When I returned to clinic, I saw the top man himself. He was amazing. He has an amazing way of speaking to people that are scared and confused. He was frank with me – and told me that the chance of success was limited, even in his hands. However, I think this was just modesty. The surgery was a huge success. It' s now more than a year since he cured my paralysis. I’m walking without a stick and playing with my kids. The tumour is all gone. I can’t believe how lucky I was to meet him. I was so close to never walking again and possibly losing my life. His professionalism and expertise are a huge credit to the NHS. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
