I was referred to Mr Sjolin following a rugby injury. The injury presented as severe discomfort to the right shoulder. Even at rest the discomfort was severe. I was in so much discomfort that I took the decision to fund a private consultation myself. The consultation was very short with little examination. A diagnosis was given that it was a severe strain to the shoulder. After several pursuing weeks of continuing discomfort I sought a second opinion. Within moments it was diagnosed that I had actually injured the pectoral minor (chest muscle). I was treated for this injury. One of the key areas for recuperation was reducing exercise to the area which was contrary to the direction given by Mr Sjolin. My confidence in private healthcare, particularly when I self fund, is completely disillusioned.
