I am writing this review to applaud the NHS service I received at the Breast Unit in High Wycombe Hospital on 16th Feb 2017. I have to say that I have every confidence that it exemplified the best possible practice. The appointment was on time and I was referred for an Ultrasound scan and a follow up consultation the same day with Dr SK Farid Ahmed so I didn't have to spend ages worrying! Dr Farid Ahmed treated me as a person, not another patient on the list. He explained the possible causes and reassured me that I was going to be okay and my pain is perfectly explainable as women have different breast physiology and mine comes under dense tissue category (or something to that effect :)). I found all clinical staff very helpful and most of all caring, the waiting area was very clean with the soothing sound of Magic radio to create a calm atmosphere for the worrying patients with a confectionary and coffee vending machines at hand. I have been fortunate to use private health care for many years when I was in my previous employment, yesterday's service was of the same high standard I am used to.
