Amazing Surgical Expertise and Post Operative Care for HPB patients.
After having a follow up call with Mr Siong-Seng Liau, some 6 years since emergency surgery to deal with a splenic artery aneurism (and splentectomy), and follow up surgery 18 months later, for a pancreoduodectomy (after he had noticed a tumour on my duodenum during the initial emergency surgery !) I want to take this opportunity to say that the care that I have received at Addenbrookes (and subsequent annual monitoring) has been superb. Based on the outcome of my operations I consider Mr Liau and his surgical team to be the best in the world. In addition, the post-operative ICU and HPB ward doctors and nursing teams were amazing as are the CT and MRI teams whom I still visit for scans on an annual basis. NHS (and Mr Liau) you are truly amazing.
