I saw Mr Woodhams in June for a consultation. My PSA was normal and the prostate not really that enlarged. I had the urine flow test and and rather than tell me how many mls per second I was peeing, Simon said the rate rate was 'crap' and this is how I can fix it.
I had a cystoscopy the week before the TURPis. All went well. . Surprisingly I was a day case. Simon operated at 8.30am and let me go home at 6pm. The catherisation was challenging but worth it. The TWOC was week later carried out by a great nurse.
I was back to normal with all functions within a month . My peeing rate is great and quality of life great.
You always hear of risks with surgery and have to take the decision to proceed. Simon was clear and confident he could sort everything out...and did....a million thanks
