Having had a bleeding nipple for 18 months, a diagnosis of Paget’s disease from a skin biopsy came as a shock. The first time I met Mr Smith he didn’t minimise the seriousness of the condition, but was amazingly reassuring. He explained clearly what would need to be done, and the time scale. There was no hurry and I was able to ask lots of questions.
Mammogram results indicated the cancer was near the surface. Mr Smith was very clear about the risk of removing too little tissue which would mean another operation. I was happy with this risk and the operation he performed was brilliant in that the shape of the breast has been preserved and the cancer removed.
I simply cannot recommend Mr Smith highly enough.
