When I began to research WLS, the name Simon Monkhouse came up almost immediately. When I then realised that he was based at my very local hospital I booked a zoom consultation with him.
I was about 70% sure about the surgery but after speaking to him I was 100%. He does not try and ‘sell’ you the surgery - you can tell that he genuinely wants the best for his patients and gives you the facts. Any decision is ultimately up to the patient, although of course I asked for his opinion on which surgery to go for.
The aftercare is absolutely fantastic and again, you feel like a valued patient that Simon truly cares about.
