Following a recent consultation with Mr Monkhouse, and the necessary CT scan, I was admitted overnight for surgery at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. Throughout Mr Monkhouse updated me via email about test results and the different surgical procedures that might prove necessary - this was so reassuring. He phoned me on 2 occasions when I had queries and his interpersonal skills are superb. He listens, explains and will draw sketches to ensure you understand fully what needs to be done. My discomfort has been relieved and I am recovering well. His kind and thoughtful approach instilled confidence and I can only thank him most sincerely for his care and expertise. He is clearly a competent surgeon who loves his chosen profession and who considers carefully the needs of his patient.
