After being in hospital for 10 days with acute abdominal pain and having being seen by a number of doctors and nurses and even having an unsuccessful investigative operation the knight in shining armour that is Mr Monkhouse appeared.
He was immediately both concerned and compassionate with what had gone on and voiced some new ideas on what the problem might be and instigated a new operation to try and find and solve the problem.
Mr Monkhouse then operated on me found the problem and repaired an internal hernia and removed my gall bladder as a precaution as i had gall stones , he then even phoned my husband straight after the operation to let him know what he had done and i that was ok.
After the operation and my discharge from east surrey Mr Monkhouse has gone above and beyond his duty emailing me every day and answering any questions i have had and i am due to see him in clinic soon for a follow up appointment.
Apart from being quite simply the best doctor i have ever had dealings with he is just a genuinely nice human being
All i can do is thank you Simon for all you help
