Mr Monkhouse has come to my rescue once again! He saved my life during an emergency operation due to a sudden bowel ischemia in 2015 and although my condition this time was no way as serious as then I did not hesitate a second to get in touch. Once I contacted him to explain that I had been admitted to hospital due to gallbladder stones and infection plus pancreatitis, Mr Monkhouse arranged an immediate call advising that he would have been more than happy to look after me..... and he has not stopped caring since. I was operated on the 12th March to have my gallbladder removed and the operation was a great success. Mr Monkhouse called my husband straight after the op to reassure him that all went well and he has checked in numerous times with me to ask how I was doing and once again he has offered his 24/7 support. He is the most knowledgeable, approachable and caring surgeon anyone could ever meet and I feel very lucky and privileged to have been under his great and amazing care. His interpersonal skills are second to none, I am sure that this means so much more than a job to him as Mr Monkhouse really cares about all his patient's wellbeing. Mr Monkhouse, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for looking after me and thank you for making me feel safe, reassured and encouraged to get better, ciao, Barbara :)
