Today is a year since Mr Monkhouse operated me because I was rushed to hospital due to a sudden bowel ischemia. After my staying in hospital I have seen Mr Monkhouse a few times for clinic and I had to undergo some tests too and I am delighted to say that his care has remained as amazing as it was on day one. The care and support received while in Mr Monkhouse care has been simply outstanding, proper first class. Mr Monkhouse is an amazing, unique, skillfull and gifted surgeon. He the most considerate, personable, compassionate and kind surgeon I have ever come across as he dedicates all of his energy, time and effort to his patients, hence I feel incredibly lucky to have been under his care. Mr Monkhouse has always made me feel very welcome to ask any questions I had and he has been constantly in touch asking me to keep him posted on my progress in all stages of my recuperation. This last year has been a tough one for me but thanks to his skills I now feel fantastic again. I have been suffering with post traumatic stress and even when emotions were running wild and were full of fear and memories of scary moments, thanks to Mr Monkhouse's positive and encouraging attitude I now feel lots of gratitude and happiness to have got to where I am now. I am alive thanks to the amazing skills and care of Mr Monkhouse who had the promptness, skills and ability of understanding straight away what my problem was and reacting immediately without hesitating and wasting any valuable time. Thank you for all your support Mr Monkhouse, there are no words to express my gratitude and how thankful I am for knowing that lovely and caring people like yourself were there caring and cheering me all the way. I could not have done this without you Mr Monkhouse. THANK YOU from myself and on behalf of my all family. Barbara.
