Simon Higgs is a great consultant. He is a knowledgeable, friendly, good listener with a lovely sense of humour – a great communicator.
Prior to surgery he explained the background to my condition and the proposed procedure in a clear, concise and full manner to ensure I understood. Love his diagrams!
He was keen to answer all my questions with patience and explore a balanced view before coming to his diagnosis and recommendations, enabling me to make an informed decision. I had a combination of ultrasound, MRI, MRCP scans, tests and surgery.
The keyhole surgery itself was very straightforward, was a success, with no complications. I recovered quickly and was out of hospital the day after surgery.
In the follow-up consultation he took care to ensure that any questions I had were answered.
Overall, a great level of care from initial consultation through to procedure and subsequent consultation. I have no hesitation in recommending Simon Higgs and the team at Nuffield Cheltenham.
