I went see Mr Lambert for a second opinion as a different Orthopaedic Consultant had told me that shoulder was surgery was my only option. This was a devastating prospect for me as, due to other medical issues, I am more vulnerable to infection than the average patient. Mr Lambert was extremely patient and spent a lot of time with me, taking time to understand my medical background, the background of the current problem and carrying out a physical examination. He drew the conclusion that surgery was not necessary and that with physio the problem would pass in time, which it has done. I feel very lucky to have seen such a considerate, kind and thorough orthpaedic consultant, and seeing him has prevented me from having unnescessary surgery. I was highly recommended to Mr Lambert by a family member who is a doctor and had worked with him.
