I have always found Mr Lambert very honest, talented and trustworthy! I had a very bad trauma to my left elbow to the point that I had absolutely no elbow flexion or extension, nor any pronation or supination of my hand. Mr Lambert advised surgery to remove all the excess bone to hopefully regain some movement. He did exactly what he said he would, but unfortunately it only helped a very small bit. I have seen him for two follow up consultations, and he was very honest and said he tried his best, which I accepted completely. On these consultations, he examined me thoroughly and was completely honest with his findings. Best of all, he has used his experience and advised that a total elbow replacement is my only hope of regaining close to normal function of my left arm. I completely accept his expert opinion, and am looking forward to the replacement surgery. To think that Mr Lambert and Mr Sinisi operated on me at the same time, and their consultations before and after the surgery could not have been more different. I highly recommend Mr Lambert, but I can only stress to avoid Mr Sinisi!!!!!!!!!

This man is worth his weight in gold. He helped my son and gave him some mobility in his arms. I will always be eternally grateful to Mr Lambert. Other doctors wouldn’t take my son on but this man took my son’s case on and gave James some of his life back.

Mr Lambert really is an exceptional surgeon, clearly very passionate about delivering the highest quality care to his patients.. His experience and expert skills are unique and his dedication to research, teaching and innovation is inspiring. On a personal level I find Mr Lambert humble, honest, kind and considerate. His ability to listen with an open mind and think laterally has helped me tremendously with results exceeding my expectations and I find his way of delivering such tailored and personalised care simply wonderful. I am very fortunate to be receiving such amazing care and can't thank Mr Lambert enough.

Profile

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
