It’s been almost two weeks since my gastrectomy sleeve operation with Mr Awad. I can’t put into words just how grateful I am to Mr Awad, the anaesthetist and the whole team at Burcot Hall and the team at Tonic (especially Cat Bevin). From start to finish everything has gone seamlessly. Mr Awad is the utmost professional with so much compassion and enthusiasm. I put my complete trust in him and the team. After doing lots of research beforehand..I would have travelled anywhere for him to be my surgeon. (I travelled almost 200 miles and would again). I’ve followed his instructions to the tea and up to now (touch wood), I haven’t had any problems. I also put my complete trust in the anaesthetist who put me as complete ease about my high blood pressure and he was right, he did look after me and I’ll be eternally grateful to you all. Mr Awad truly is a life saver and this really is (already) one of the best decisions I could have made for myself and my future health. The Tonic team are always in touch with me to walk me through the next steps and the nurse, Debbie, was amazing the week after my op (and is always on hand should I need her in the future). To the whole team, thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me my life back. I would 100 per cent recommend both Tonic and Mr Awad for anyone thinking about bariatric surgery.
