I had done hours of research prior to contacting Tonic Surgery. I chose Dr Awad because he as worked extensively with bariatric patients. Tonic surgery offer a holistic approach to surgery with great communication before surgery and a comprehensive after care package. The staff at Burcot Hall in Birmingham were professional, approachable knowledgeable. I can’t thank the Nurses and health care staff enough. Thank you to Jill for a lovely warm smile and Trish. Dr Awad and the anaesthetist Chris are professional, they took the time to listen and provided their expert advice to me. Going into the theatre I definitely wasn’t expecting such great music and a relaxing environment. Communication was fantastic by all the team. I wasn’t awake long enough to see everyone. In recovery, I was very well looked after and my night nurse was superb. Dr Awad visited and informed me that my surgery had gone well. My blood pressure was elevated after the surgery and I was treated appropriately and I am having the BP reviewed with my own GP. Prior to discharge Dr Awad visited and went through my operation again and showed me pictures of my organs and all the visceral fat. Dr Awad explained everything in a language I could understand and I could ask any questions I wanted to. I was discharged with medication and a full explanation of when and how to take it. I am recovering well. Thank you to Dr Awad and the team.
