To anyone facing this kind of surgery, I hope this is reassuring. I recently had MHOS surgery for a nasal BCC, in the care of Dr Al-Rawi, Solihull Hospital, And Dr Anari, Heartlands Hospital. I've had no previous experience of hospital treatment, so I was quite anxious, firstly, how successful the medical outcome would be, secondly the final physical appearance. I'm happy, relieved, and confident about the medical outcome, the physical appearance, it's healing nicely, most people's post surgical scarring is hidden beneath clothing, but this is (as plain as the nose on your face) I'll never look like Cary Grant again .... but then I never did. I wasn't looking forward to the treatment and I hope that's the end of it .. but it really was an experience that I would not have missed "well almost" it really was very interesting, from first consultation, three operations, and post treatment follow up, Dr Anari has been patient and reassuring. Surgery has been stress free and painless, amazing, even after leaving hospital not one painkiller was needed. Dr Anaris personal attention at all times was appreciated, l couldn't ask for more. My thanks to Dr Al-Rawi, and Dr Anari, and a big thank you to the nurses, theatre staff, and all their colleagues at Solihull and Heartlands Hospitals. Malcolm.
