Before my op, he talked it through with me. After the op he came to see how I was. At my last meeting he asked how I was doing, did some tests and suggested exercises I might do.

Thank you. You have neatly summarised the surgical process. Communication before surgery and good post-operative care are key to success. Keeping patients well informed about their condition and progress is really important.
