Having been diagnosed with arthritic knees and being in pain, my GP suggested that I have a knee joint replacement, recommending Paul Trikha @ the Runnymede hospital. As a NHS patient I was seen by consultant Mr Trikha, from that first meeting the feeling of trust was there. He explained the procedure and informed that it would be painful, the only thing I can misjudge him was that statement. From the moment of entering the hospital for the operation he managed give me great confidence that I was in safe hands. It is to say that trepidation was not present but Paul and his team soon banished any qualms I had. As to his telling it would be painful, it did not, yes I knew that my knee had been replaced, but from waking the next my amount of movement and ability to bend, lift and using the crutches walk and ascend and descend the stairs, was to me remarkable. On visiting in my room he told that Thursday would be bad as the Anaesthetic wore off, perhaps I am lucky because this did not happen. My belief is that Paul Trickha and the team at the Ruunymede gave me 110% and my recovery is due to his and their skill and compassionate care. It is now 2 weeks from that operation, I am walking my dog (slowly, me not the dog) but unaided. Thank you Paul I am more grateful and I cannot believe what you have achieved. Your ability to give me this mobility is fantastic. It is great when people who told me of all the pain and the time it would take to recover, now ask me when am I going to have the operation, and I can reply with great satisfaction " Oh I had that 2 weeks ago". I feel lucky as a NHS patient to have had you to carry out the operation. Danny Cooper/
