I was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital as an emergency with a Caecal Volvulus. I feel extremely lucky to have had Mr Purkayastha as my surgeon. As soon as I met him in A&E I felt safe. He is so easy to talk to and a great listener.
He came to see me a couple of times before I went into the operating theatre to explain things which was reassuring.
Mr Purkayastha is a very kind man and very professional. He is evidently a surgeon at the top of his game. I can't thank him and his team enough.
