I was very, very apprehensive prior to surgery. Dr Purkayastha completely put me at ease. He explained the procedure in detail and arranged additional meetings with the other health care professionals that were required. The procedure was a complete success and everything that Dr Purkayastha predicted, has come to pass. I felt cared and in very safe hands. I even had the additional comfort of my daughter, a year 3 medical student, seeing Dr Purkayastha carry out the same procedure on another patient. She was against bariatric surgery at first, but after seeing this was very much in favour of it. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr Purkayastha to any prospective patient. I cannot think of any other surgeon who instills greater confidence in me. John S
