Should you consider Mr Chan for shoulder surgery?
My experience strongly suggests YES for three reasons,
1. He listened to my experience to understand the physical problem and what issues it was causing in my daily life - he actually listened and did not interrupt trying to put his spin on things, unlike previous surgeons I have seen.
2. He used the latest techniques with the most effective plate for my collar bone, unlike the generic plate i had placed previous.
3. Most importantly, he advised on aftercare using a risk based approach where I was able to negotiate what I wanted to do whilst knowing the risks.
Plus he is just nice guy that you feel at ease with.
If you met him at a party, i am sure you would have no idea he is an expert surgeon. You would just think he is a nice guy.
I have experience of three shoulder surgeons and Mr Chan was the most effective and pleasant by a very long distance.
