The meeting on 14 Nov 2017 was the first opportunity for me to understand the implicatioons of CIS (as a result of a biopsy 25 Oct 2017)
Almost without preamble Mr Turk stated that there were two options - 1 Bladder removal or 2 BCG. He explained bladder removal was a big operation....
He stated that BCG would take pace over a six week period followed by another rigid cystoscopy/ biopsy.
He then stated that if the biopsy result was that the CIS had not been cleared then I would be 'offered' Bladder removal.
The consultation was then ended by him stating a CNS nurse would now answer any questions etc. A nurse (in attendance) explained the CNS nurse was not available!
Mr Turk shrugged his shoulders and left me to my own devices.
I do not think he has any empathy!
