After disastrous cataract surgery some years ago, I was terrified at what might happen if I had surgery on my other eye. Reading about Mr Salvi gave me the courage to arrange a consultation with him and he has changed my life! He has a natural way of putting you at ease. He listened to my past history, checked both of my eyes thoroughly and filled me with confidence. He gave me good advice in a simple, but also humble way with no pressure whatsoever to take it. I did not hesitate to ask him to do the surgery. I know that my surgery needed very careful handling because of my history but Mr Salvi said that he was able to do it and I had no doubt that he could......and he did. His treatment of myself and the staff in the operating theatre was impeccable, calm and confident. The whole team worked together like a finely tuned machine and the nurses had an obvious respect for the surgeon. Mr Salvi shared my joy on the follow up appointment with sincerity and the knowledge of a job well done. I now see colours, can read without glasses even very small print, recognise people as they approach me and will never again put my hand out for a dust cart thinking it is a bus!
