I saw Mr Gupta today for a second follow up to surgery which he carried out on 20 October 2022. Unfortunately I injured my spine in 2005 while working for NATO which meant that I became disabled and needed to use a wheelchair. I use to wheel myself around in a manual wheelchair for 16 years which began to cause pain problems to both shoulders. I had guided ultrasound injections in both shoulders but the ultrasound scan showed a full thickness tear in the tendon of my right shoulder. I requested to be referred to Mr Gupta as he had carried out a very successful operation on my left arm in March 2015 - Left Elbow Ulnar Nerve Decompression & anterior transposition. Mr Gupta carried out a right shoulder arthroscopic subacromial decompression and supraspinatus repair in October and today was a follow up which was just under the three month period since my operation. I have now 98% of all movement back in my right shoulder and continuing with daily physiotherapy exercises. I would certainly recommend Mr Gupta as I believe him to be an exceptional upper limb surgeon who gets fantastic results.
