Eleven years ago in 2007, I had an arthroscopy on my left knee which Mr Strachan performed. Brilliant. No problems since with that knee. Ten years later, in November 2017 I needed a total knee replacement on the right knee, and I am amazed at how quickly the recovery went. I have never met a more caring surgeon, who plainly excels at his tasks. A stickler for hygiene, he takes every precaution against infection, and instils confidence in his patients. The fact that he is so positive, this attitude rubs off on his patients, and if they are positive folk, they will benefit from this attitude too. If I were ever to need the other knee done, he is the surgeon for me!

I was referred to Mr Strachan two years ago after a replacement knee operation that was badly done by another consultant. Mr Strachan and his team are fantastic at what they do. He had to completely re-do the surgery and here I am a year down the line and I am now pain free...! I would highly recommend Mr Strachan for his expertise in his field and the great care I have received from Charing Cross Hospital and the orthopaedic team.

I had a knee arthroscopy just over a week ago and I am amazed at how neat the incision holes are, how quickly my knee is healing and the quality of the care I received. Mr Strachan's team were amazing from start to diagnosis and treatment of my rare knee condition. I am already walking without the aid of crutches and starting to manage stairs - great job!

I would like to highly recommend Mr Strachan, who did a knee arthroscopy for me, I am super impressed with the results, and the quality of workmanship that he has performed, It is nearly 3 weeks since I had the key hole surgery and can honestly say my knee is 90% better I am walking, climbing stairs and can hardly believe I had an operation 3 weeks ago.

Mr Strachan performed a full right knee replacement. His pre-op diagnosis was thoughtful and thorough involving an arthroscopy to get a closer view of the issues. He gave excellent advice for my preparation for the operation (exercises and muscle building). Post operative care was good and I was reassured that the joint would last a significant time and that significant wear could be repaired without full replacement. I would recommend him ( and have done so ) to anyone for knee replacement surgery.
