I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2018 following a routine mammogram . The treatment I received at Queen Elizabeth Gateshead was and continues to be truly exceptional . My consultant Robert Milligan is not only a gifted and talented surgeon but a compassionate empathetic human being . Robert Milligan instills confidence in both his patients and family members . Despite the incredible pressure on the NHS , Robert Milligan gives each and every patient the priceless gift of “ time” .
