As an ENT Consultant I would rate him very high, however as a person with good knowledge of CFS symptoms and sleep apnoea symptoms he would not even get on a scale. His comment in a letter to my GP " He also presents with what he describes as chronic fatigue" is condescending and is far away from good "customer" handling. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in April 2003. At a risk of sounding condescending myself, I probably know more about the symptoms and effects than he does. he then states "his chronic fatigue may well be nothing more than daytime somnolence secondary to poor sleep apnoea at night" Well Dr. may be nothing more! I have written a 27 page report on the effects of CFS on me personally & even more information from the internet. For your guidance I can trace some effects back to 1985 when my habitus was not as large.

Response from Mr Robert Almeyda

Hi, I was very sorry to hear you had an unsatisfactory clinic visit with me. These reviews are annonomised and therefore I cannot comment on your particular case except to say that I always strive to give my patients the best possible care and am very sorry this was not the case for you. I apologise if my letter was found to be condescending as this was not my intention. If we meet again in clinic I would invite you to discuss your concerns with me so that I can learn from your negative experience and improve my practice for the future. Thank you for the feedback. R
