I found Mr Robert Almeyda to be a very caring Doctor who listened to my problems and answered questions in a detailed and sympathetic way. He made me feel at ease and confident in his ability to operate and to diagnose the problems he found and what he intended to do, based on the biopsy results.
He also saw me after the operation and asked me how I was and explained very carefully what he had done and why.
While I have no treatment concerns at all and I can understand that patiants have to be prioritised according to need, I was concerned, especially as I live in Gloucestershire and need to leave home at 6am, that block bookings mean a very long wait for both the patient and the person taking you home, if the operation is delayed until 4.30pm, as mine was. Is it not posible to grade the patients into morning and afternoon operations, or even into three sessions?
