He treated my son with respect, and wasn't patronising in the way that some doctors have been with him. He listened carefully to my son's explanations of his symptoms, and wasn't dismissive of them as some doctors have been. When my son was anxious about the investigation that Mr Almeyda was going to do, he explained very clearly and calmly what was involved, and was not dismissive of my son's concerns, while making it clear there might be a small amount of discomfort, but that he wouldn't feel any pain. At the end of the investigation he explained clearly to us what he had found, and what his recommendations were. I would rate him as one of the best two hospital doctors we have seen. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the follow-up letter to us and the GP had clearly been dictated but not checked, as some parts of it didn't make sense and it included some spelling errors including one mention of medication so nonsensical I couldn't work out what it was supposed to be.
