I got to a point where my knee was very painful both day and night and l could only walk short distances, this was seriously impacting on my quality of life as I am normally an active man. l went to see Mr Westerman to get a total left knee replacement. Mr Westerman replaced my knee 7 weeks ago. l knew it would be painful post-op but if you do the physio you will get fantastic results. Four weeks post op l went down to using 1 crutch at 5 weeks no crutches and last week I walked in unaided to my 6 week post op assessment with Mr Westerman. My way of thinking was Mr Westerman and his team had given me a second chance at full mobility so l wasn’t going to let him or myself down . It is good to be walking and getting a good night’s sleep PAIN FREE, my active life is on its way back.
