I was diagnosed with a large tumour in December 2018 and obviously thought my life would be over. Due to the complex case i was referred to Christie hospital under the care of MR Slade whom I first met on the 10th January 2019, he explained everything regarding my tumour and even gave me the darker side of possibilities such as stoma but said he would do his best. I had a full hysterectomy tumour removed appendix and omentum he did leave me my personality. He was such a gentleman and put me at ease in terms of the surgery. Surgery was done on the 12th February 2019, 15th February I was discharged home, 28th February I got the special news no further treatment was needed I was borderline stage 2 cancer but due to this man I am able to continue in good health and respect life. I will continue to be monitored every 3 months just routinely that is just a drop in the ocean. much appreciation and respect to MR Slade and Sarah Gallagher.
