In November 2013 I was in The Derrisford Hospital for an operation for oesophageal cancer, after a very long operation, I was discharged home. I needed become accustomed to my stomach being in a new position, but all was well.
Four months later I went to see Mr Berrisford, and asked whats next, he replied nothing, I felt all your important organs and they are "Pinky and Perky" no need for anything. Just to be sure I requested a scan, and of course he was right, nothing to report.
I cannot commend Mr Berrisford enough, I have seen two more sons married and five more grandchildren, that I would have missed.
He was backed up by an incredible staff, who were thoughtful and caring. What more can I say but a huge thank you.
