I was suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome. I had suffered eight years of progressively worsening symptoms which had affected my nights' sleep badly during that period. After a consultation with Mr. Baker, I had my right wrist operated on just ten days before Christmas Day. It has proved to be one of the best decisions I have made for many a long year! The operation, under local anaesthetic, was completely pain-free, and I now have really good nights' rest. My dealings with Mr. Baker have been excellent! He is very professional, listens carefully, and he informed me and explained my condition's causes perfectly to me. I liked, too, the fact that he has phoned me twice post-operation, once just before Christmas and once during January, to see what progress I was making. Not many consultants show that degree of interest! I have the merest of scars on the heel of my hand and flexibility returned quite quickly. My left wrist needs a similar operation and I shall have that following my second Coronavirus vaccination next month.
