I arrived at Stoke Mandeville hospital on 15 July in a terrible way after having a diep (breast reconstruction and 12 hours of surgery) with an extremely high temperature, back lock, sickness and generally feeling like I wanted to die! I cannot tell you how pleased I was to see a doctor Dr Agha. Little did I realise I had an infection. Dr Agha examined me and to this day I will never forget what he told me! With complete confidence and assurance he said "Mrs O'Connor I promise I will make you better". With tears in my eyes full of pain and fearfulness I trusted his promise. I can now report that after 11 days of treatment by Dr Agha I can happily report that I am home, thanks to Riaz. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he constantly visited my beside to treat the infection, even working throughout the night, attending to dressings, pain management and above all patient reassurance that I would get better Dr Agha, I owe you everything and I would like to thank you personally for your pure dedication to your patients and above all for making me feel well again. Good luck with your future and from my partner and I a big, big thank you. With all the breast cancer and operations out of the way, we can now happily arrange our wedding which sadly had to be cancelled last year. My sincere thanks Sylvia O'Connor
