I was bullied relentlessly throughout my childhood and teenage years for my severe underbite and misaligned jaws, to the point of going into a deep depression. With the help of the staff from Good Hope in Sutton, they put me forward to see Mr Rhodri Williams. I was booked in for surgery early January of 2017, but due to an overcrowding of the hospital, my long awaited appointment was delayed. Knowing how much this surgery meant to me and what my current mental state was like, Mr Williams put in a good word to ensure that I was seen as quickly as possible in the following days. The following week, I went into surgery and awoke with an entirely new face and 1000% more confidence. For the first time in my life I loved looking at myself in the mirror.
