In February 2020 I was referred to Mr Mansoor by my optician as I had cataracts in both eyes, the left being particularly severe. At this point I was relying on blurred sight from my right eye, I had given up driving and reading was very hard unless I used a magnifying glass as well as my prescription glasses. I had several preliminary appointments with Mr Mansoor to discuss the cataract operation and the different types of lenses available. Ultimately I opted for Panoptix Toric Lenses, offering a multifocal approach. Very careful measurements were taken of both eyes to ensure the best match and the operation on my left eye was scheduled for March. Unfortunately COVID restrictions meant this was delayed until early July. The second operation took place one month later. My vision after each operation was amazing, reading the smallest of print and distinguishing detail at far distance. After the first operation I was able to resume driving and after the second to resume very close craft work. All without the need for prescription glasses. Reading was once more a joy. It is now one year on and my sight continues in the same vane, I am not aware of any deterioration, I can still thread the smallest of needles, and clearly see things in the distance! Still no prescription glasses. Mr Mansoor was thorough, ensuring clear understanding of the process, my choices and likely outcomes, I had the utmost confidence in him prior too, during, and after both operations. I would most definitely recommend him for consideration and continue to be extremely grateful everyday for his talent and the gift of clear sight.
