My name is Amanda, I was 34 years old when diagnosed with cervical cancer and sent over to royal Preston for radical hysterectomy. I had 3 young children and had recently split from my husband and everything was so scary.
I met Mr Hirsch and he had such a calming approach I immediately felt safe in his hands. He did the op and along with specialist nurse Sandras help I made a full recovery. I am now 48 years old and find myself still thinking of the fantastic team who looked after me, saved my life and allowed me to continue to watch my children grow into wonderful adults and become a loving nana.
From diagnosis to treatment to aftercare thank goodness for the NHS and it’s dedicated workers, thankyou in particular to mr Hirsch, your ability to communicate, your compassion and obvious skills is the reason I’m able to write this today. Many thanks.
