At the age of 60 my implants had been in for 20 years (done by another surgeon in London) and I was never really happy with them. On seeing Mr Turton due to a breast lump we also discussed having the implants removed and I told him I did't want them replaced. Mr Turton suggested that I have a breast uplift and a correction as my right side was significantly smaller than the left and once the implants were removed I would clearly have some droop. He explained in depth what the surgery would entail, the recovery time and the scars that would remain, he also asked me to prepare myself physcologically for the change in chest size. Mr Turton is so very easy to talk to and his advice in this regard was excellent as it's something I really hadn't thought about. I had the surgery done in December 2020 and everything went really well and my recovery was uneventful. I did have a peak the day after the surgery and was really pleased. At 3 months it was amazing, my natural chest had plumped up and I had symetry for the first time in my life, my scars were really neat and looked really good for saying it was so early in the process! Now at 6 months my chest scars are amazing, the shape of my chest is beyond what I could ever have expected, I am so pleased with the way my chest looks, I only wish I had had surgery done with Mr Turton earlier as I had been thinking about it for the last 5 years. The care during and after the operation was brilliant and you always had a number to call if you had any concerns or questions. Can't thank Mr Turton and his team at Leeds enough.
