I had been considering a breast reduction for many years and so glad I plucked up the courage. Mr Turton made me feel comfortable and listened to my history. I had the procedure just prior to Lockdown in March 2020. All the staff were extremely caring. Both Mr Turton and Gerry the breast care nurse came to see me the next day prior to discharge. I followed all post op. Advice so did very little for the first 2 weeks. I would say the initial recovery took 4 to 6 weeks. I did have quite a lot of discomfort but managed with simple analgesia. I am now 6 months post op. Back in normal bras and my life is transformed. Prior to the operation I had back pain all the time this has completely resolved. I am so much more active painting and decorating, gardening. People comment that I look so much slimmer. Funniest comment was I looked like a turnip before! I guess my only surprise was the post op I am an E cup when my expectations were to be a B or C. However my bust measurement is 5 inches less so guess was a J cup wearing a GG. My scars are flat and when I stand in front of a mirror I can only see the small ones from the nipple down. Sensation is far better than it was. Life changingboth physically and mentally. I would recommend this surgery. Thanks to Gerry and Mr Turton for their wonderful care.
