A couple of years ago my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, we then found out it was genetic. I was tested and found out that I had the BRCA gene also. I was 19 at the time and decided I wanted to have surgery to reduce my risk (a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy). All the options available to me were discussed and I understood but still wanted to go ahead with surgery. Mr Kneeshaw has been the surgeon for both my mum and me and I could not recommend him more highly. I can go into the clinic feeling nervous and a little sad and after seeing Mr Kneeshaw I come out with a smile on my face. I was 19 when I underwent my first operation and I was initially very nervous, but there is something calming about Mr Kneeshaw and I found myself going into my operation feeling very positive and relaxed. I trust him absolutely and have great confidence in his skill. I could not have wished for a better surgeon. I really can't describe quite how brilliant he has been in helping my family through this. Mr Kneeshaw is a fantastic surgeon and a lovely man. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for my mother and me.
