It is now just over a week since I had surgery, and I have to say if you’re needing gynae surgery, with Paul Fiadjoe you can be reassured - you’re in safe hands. As an NHS patient you may have a long wait, as I did, but worth it. My original request was for cystocele repair, though finding that I had a bit of a prolapsed uterus, a hysterectomy was recommended; on the day, a small rectocele repair, and perineoplasty (referred to as a bit of ‘tidying up’!!) was also included ; so I was thankful that everything that needed attention was done in one go. The difference in emptying bladder is already noticeable. Mr Fiadjoe came to see me before and after surgery, each time answering my questions thoughtfully and unhurriedly. He is totally professional but with an easy manner which facilitates dealing with personal and intimate topics without any hint of embarrassment for the patient. He clearly enjoys interacting with his patients (can handle some light-hearted ribbing!), and clearly enjoys using his skill and expertise to deliver a good outcome, very much improving their quality of life.
