Mr Paul Blake was my surgeon on the day of my procedur, to say I was nervous and aprehensive was an understatement. I have a history of having 3 Anaphylaxis responces due to some unknown source bar one, which was an anaesthetic used in a dental procedure last year, hence my concern. Paul listened to me and took my concerns very seriously as the anaesthetic he would normally use is the one I had previously had an allergic reaction too. He explained the procedure and what I should expect very clearly. When I came into the operating theatre the nurses and Paul soon put me at ease they monitored my sense of wellbeing every step of the way. It was a relitively quick and painfree process and I was delighted with the size and location of the incision and stitches as I had invisaged it to be much larger and irregular in shape. I followed the care instructions for going home. . . however I felt the ongoing healing was very painful at times, it affected other parts of my face and head which was a complete surprise. When I went back to the nurse to have the stitches removed as advised, it must have been too early because the wound hadn't knitted together and the incession popped opened and blead again, it was taped together and I had to return after a further two weeks. . . during this time I experiencd an alarming ocular migrain which continued with sever pain for several weeks. Though I am left with a wider scar than anticipated I am very pleased with the result and very grateful to have been under the care of Mr Paul Drake. Thank you Kind regards Jeni Dodson
