I have only good things to say about Mr Jaber. He is the man that saved my daughters life. Scarlett (3) was rushed from Hull to Leeds and arrested on arrival, although it was not established at the time a virus had attacked her heart and she was a very very poorly little girl. He didn't even have the time to take her to thearte she was operated on and put on life support on ward 47. In the following days it was deemed she would require a transplant she was transferred to Newcastle 48hrs later in an drug induced coma. Due to the transfer further north I never got the chance to properly thank him and his team and with Scarlet being so poorly my mind was understandably elsewhere. Fast forward 12 months and my Son Freddie arrived into this world with a congenital heart condition called Tretalogy of Fallot and our paths cross again. (to put any readers minds at rest the care in Newcastle was equally as fantastic and Scarlett made a miraculous recovery and after 3 months on a VAD was able to be removed from the machine and left Newcastle on her own heart) Mr Jaber is my sons surgeon and we had a meeting with him last week to discuss his ongoing treatment, firstly it was quite a choking moment because I have everything to thank this guy for and yet he is so humble. Secondly he explained everything to me and my partner in good detail and explained the pros and cons and why he has decided he thinks its best to put off Freddie' surgery for 4-6 weeks. I know its unfortunate circumstance in which me meet again but I really do have every faith in him and his team.
