I have had two hip replacements done by Mr Shah and both went extremely well. I was in hospital 3 days for the first one in October 2020. I had been told to expect some pain after the operation and did have some but followed the instructions and took the pain killers and did the exercises and was soon back to walking normally. I had always heard people say that if you do all the exercises you should be all right so I did them. My next hip replacement was in June 2o22. I thought it was my knee that was bad as I,d had pain in my knee. Mr Shah said I needed a hip replacement and that after I'd had the hip replacement the pain in my knee would disappear. This has happened. The hip replacement itself was fine and I had hardly any pain and never needed anything stronger than paracetamol. However my stay in hospital was 6 days as my blood pressure was up and down , my saline was low and one or two other things were wrong but I was really well looked after while I was there (at Goring Hall) .with nurses and doctors checking on me very regularly. I had the first operation when I was 81 and the last when I was 83. I am now back to leading walks again (only about 3 miles) but I am very pleased with my progress. Thank you Mr Shah and all the staff at Goring Hall.
