I was referred to Mr Shah from another consultant at Goring Hall Hospital as my prognosis involved a complex double hip operation, as I have severe oesto-arthritis and a tilted pelvis. I am a very nervous person (I have whitecoat syndrom!!!) but I am so pleased that I was able to overcome my fears. After my initial consultation with Mr Shah he was happy to take me on as his patient. During the whole process from consultation to recovery (I have only had 1 hip done todate), I have found him to be very informative, professional, patient and empathetic. My post-operation/consultation has gone extremely well and my recovery is far better than I imagined, after the operation I had a minimal amount of pain and my wound/scar has healed very well. I am now waiting for Mr Shah to invite me for my 2nd hip operation it being less complex, so that I can start to return to some normaility with my mobility. I must thank you and your dedicated team, for the care and support I received from being admitted to Ilex Ward to my discharge. I would certainly recommend Mr Shah and his team at Goring Hall Hospital. If I had to make some constructive critisism, it would be that I would have preferred a face-to-face post operative consultation rather than a telephone one, although Mr Shah was very informative and thorough over the phone. Although on the 2 consultations I have had with him, he was running late on both occasions, I did find that he had plenty of time to answer all my concerns and did not rush our conversations. Thank you and your team once again
