I was diagnosed with bowel cancer with liver metastasis in April 21 and underwent 14 rounds of chemotherapy to which I responded well and was given the option of surgery for a liver resection. That is when I met Mr Nicola De'Liguori-Carino he explained the procedure very clearly to me and took his time to make sure I understood what was going to happen. The surgery went very well and Mr De'Liguori removed the right side of my liver and also 3 legions on my left side 2 of which were not cancerous. I was in hospital for 5 days then discharged to recuperate at home. The only constructive suggestion I could make is that I would of liked a little more of Mr De'Liguori's time after surgery to explain in more detail how the surgery had gone, I spoke to Mr De'Liguori twice after surgery for less than 1 minute each time he just seemed to be in a rush and I do take on board doctors are very busy people. I would also like to say that Mr De'Liguori did ring me some weeks after surgery to see how I was doing and explained that the cancer cells he removed were all dead so that more than made up for not speaking to him very much after surgery.
