This survey asks to give constructive suggestions on how this gentleman can improve. I’m not one to exaggerate or pamper to someone’s ego but I genuinely cannot make any comments to ask this doctor to improve. His welcoming manner on your first meeting. His clear explanation of the procedure during this visit leaves you no matter how nervous ( and I was ) reassured and at ease. His question “anything you wish to ask me” is wasted as he explains everything in minute detail. Above all his ability NOT to treat you like your beneath him, which so many Consultants/Surgeons do, he makes you feel human. The big day arrives and you forget the reassurances and sit in your little glass room nervous and anxious. Nick arrives with his smile and confident manner and Black Marker in hand, again asking if you have any questions, the nerves diminish and you wonder why you worried again. Quick word in prep area of theatre and done ( well the anaesthetic takes care of that and a jolly guy the anaesthetist was also ) Days go buy and keep checking the very angry looking entry wound and the very black swollen unmentionables ( male pride ) concern at first at the ugly cut/gash. As time goes buy the 14day checkup is here. Check my self in the mirror and I’m actually very happy that all traces of bruising and swelling have completely gone, the wound? What wound? Just a very neat scar that is shrinking daily. Meet Nick and he inspects his work, he’s like a father of a new born, happy with his achievement/work. He does voice his concern at the spring in my step following him from the waiting area? Had to calm and reassure him I’m not lifting or exerting myself, I’m just so happy to be pain free and such an overwhelming experience of calm, confident, professionalism without the god complex. If your looking for a surgeon you can feel at ease and confident with then I highly recommend this gentleman. If my feedback seems overly flattering or even a fake review. Please take my word it’s a true reflection from a 54 yr old male that is petrified of needles and will live with pain rather than ever go to his GP or Hospital until the choice is no longer his own. To be fair I never wish to be in pain or need to attend hospital again but if I do, then I truly wish it’s a procedure I could ask Nick to carry out and save myself worry and anxiety. If you have read to this point. I truly believe you already know what you need to do.
