I am 69 and after two years wait on NHS Wales list with no likely date given I decided to seek private treatment. As well as limiting my physical activity my arthritic hip would keep me awake at night and the continued use of OTC painkillers gave me frequent stomach upset. Mr Ganapathi was recommended by two friends whom he had treated successfully some years back. My consultation was quickly arranged by the helpful Spire team. I was impressed by Mr Ganapathi's very thorough examination and his clear explanation of my proposed treatment was very reassuring. My surgery was at about 2 pm and I was sitting up in bed with my family by 6pm enjoying a light meal! I went home the next day, was walking straight away with crutches and was pain free within three weeks. The scar is minimal and healed quickly. Six weeks later I am now easily walking 3 - 4 miles daily without any walking aids. I continue to have physio sessions in Spire which really help realise the full benefit of the surgery. I am impressed with the communication whilst in hospital and since then from the whole team involved in my care. I am truly grateful to Mr Ganapathi for his expertise and professionalism and thoroughly recommend him.
