Following the results of an MRI scan for a recurrent bilobe disc prolapse I had a call from HRI to attend to what I thought was an assessment from the Physios at Neurosurgery. This was however to see Mr Hussain along with a physio. Mr Hussain examined me, and explained the results of the MRI and recommended I should have immediate surgery, (that day infact). As I had not eaten that day I was admitted and surgery was later the same day. Mr Hussain came to see me following the surgery and the next day. It was very reassuring to speak to the consultant both pre and post op. Nothing seemed to much trouble for both Mr Hussain and all the staff on Ward 4, questions were answered and other information was given about my post op recovery. I would recommend both the Hull Royal Infirmary and the Castle Hill Hospital Cottingham as the level of care I have received at both of these hospitals has been second to none.
